Flora-Balance Powder is a probiotic which populates the intestines with healthy bacteria which aids in maintaining a healthy colon and enhancing immune response.
Flora Balance is a unique pro-biotic containing a remarkable bacillus, bacillus laterosporus BOD which was discovered in a pristine area of Iceland in the 1980's. Flora Balance has been used successfully to control pathogens including candida albicans, to normalize the digestive system eliminating constipation and diarrhea, and in alleviating the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Each morning mix one teaspoon Flora Balance in 4 oz. of bottled water. Take at least 15 minutes before breakfast. When symptoms diminish, reduce to 1/2 teaspoon in 4 oz. water. Can be repeated one hour after evening meal if necessary.
Children: For children 1 to 6 years of age, begin with 1/2 of adult recommendation. Reduce again by 1/2 as a maintenance program. Flora Balance for diaper rash. Mix 1 teaspoon with 4 oz. of water, and spray on skin 3-4 times per day immediately after mixing. For use as a douche or colonic, mix one teaspoon in 6 oz. of water, when dissolved, it is ready for use.

I must tell you that I went through my chemo therapy amazingly well, and I feel that in great part it was due to taking Flora Balance daily. I did not get "any" of the usual side effects i.e. mouth sores, stomach issues etc.

I am so grateful to have found Flora Balance! What is bacillus laterosporus BOD?
Bacillus laterosporus BOD is a unique soil based organism (SBO) which has a strong inhibitory effect on a number of pathogens including the fungus candida albicans, and many bacterial pathogens including e. coli, salmonella and streptococcus faecalis. It was discovered in a pristine area of Iceland in the late 1980’s where it was responsible for the unusual health of local vegetables grown there and of the residents who consumed them.
It is a transient organism in the human digestive tract that enjoys a complex symbiotic relationship with the residents of the digestive tract that can dramatically influence the health and well-being of your entire body. Bacillus laterosporus BOD is a patented organism only available in Flora Balance, Latero Flora and Mind and Body Formula.
Is it safe?
Bacillus laterosporus was safety tested in 1986. The results showed no oral toxicity with bacillus laterosporus BOD at doses of 5 grams per kilogram bodyweight which is equivalent to 2000 Flora Balance capsules/day for a person weighing 170 lbs. Applied Biological Sciences Laboratory concluded that the Bacillus was not harmful to any human being and that “no further oral testing was required”.
Is it dairy free, gluten free, animal free?
Flora Balance, Ultimate Acidophilus Plus and GRL Biotin are free of dairy, gluten and animal substances.
Can children use it?
Flora Balance is safe for children including infants. It is recommended that children take ½ the suggested adult dose.
What is the difference between the capsules and the powder?
The significant difference is that Flora Balance powder dissolves easily in water due to the use of malto-dextrin filler. A water-based solution of Flora Balance is useful for topical applications for skin conditions due to fungal infections including athlete’s foot, fungus nails, diaper rash some forms of psoriasis. Some individuals find it useful to reduce the effects of acne.
Flora Balance powder is more effective for Oral Thrush, rinse and then swallow, you can also brush with it. It can also be used as a colonic implant and vaginal douche.
Can I open a capsule for topical use?
Unfortunately this does not work very well, the rice flour makes more of a paste in water, we recommend that you use Flora Balance powder instead.
Should I take it while taking anti-biotics?
Taking Flora Balance and Ultimate Acidophilus Plus while taking anti-biotics can help prevent destruction of the normal flora in the digestive tract.
