GrapeFruit Organic Essential Oil - 8 oz , (Frontier)
Named because of how it clusters like grapes as it grows on the tree, the Grapefruit is a hybrid fruit that is a cross between a pummelo and an orange. Some have even suggested that this fruit is an improved version of the pummelo itself, but that is another story.
Depending upon which Grapefruit variety you eat, it can be a sour fruit whose sweet, tangy citrus aroma is known and appreciated by everyone, from adults to children. Providing this refreshing scent that can be both invigorating and uplifting, Grapefruit Essential Oil is used for treating muscles aches, fatigue, anxiety, oily skin, chills, hair growth, depression, headaches, viral infections, cellulite, obesity, and water retention.
This essential oil is also used for the gall bladder as well as an astringent, a digestive aid, a facial toner, and a lymphatic stimulant in addition to being employed to induce euphoria and increase circulation.
SUGGESTED USAGE
You can add 25 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil to an ounce of unscented bath gel or bath salts for a nice refreshing bath. Add 4 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil in a burner, vaporizer or diffuser to treat your headaches, fatigue or anxiety, or add 2 to 5 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil in a bowl of water in a ceramic candle diffuser that is 3/4 full, or you can even add 4 to 6 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil in an electric diffuser and run this diffuser for 15 to 20 minutes 2 to 3 times a day.
Add 4 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil, 3 drops of Orange Bergamot Essential Oil, and 3 drops of Tangerine Essential Oil in a diffuser for a cheering diffuser. Mix together 18 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil and an ounce of water in a mister for a refreshing mist or add 12 to 15 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil to an ounce of unscented lotion or carrier oil (such as Almond, Olive or Grapeseed Oil) to massage into your achy muscles.
Even though you can take it internally when you dilute it in water or any other beverage, Grapefruit Essential Oil is really not for internal use. Grapefruit Essential Oil may irritate your skin so you must dilute this oil properly due to its high concentration. You should avoid using this essential oil if you are pregnant, suffer from any medical condition, and/or taking any medication.
