One of the most precious items of Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries, cloves used to be worth more their weight in gold thanks to the Spice Trades. Clove Essential Oil comes from the flower bud of an evergreen tree that has numerous medicinal properties, also known as a clove bud. Its sweet spicy aroma is familiar and comforting to those who have either used this spice for aromatherapy or for cooking.
Clove Essential Oil also possesses a historical use for overall health in regards to digestive, dental and skin needs as well as asthma, bladder infections, bronchitis, gas, colds and flu, moth repellent, frostbite, hay fever, nausea, heartburns, insect repellent, muscle relaxant, sprains, sinusitis, toothaches and rheumatism.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Mix 15 to 30 drops of Clove Essential Oil in a cup of warm water and take this tea 1 to 3 times a day or you can add 10 to 30 drops of this oil per tub of warm water just before you get in to take a bath. You can even add 10 drops of Clove Essential Oil per tablespoon of a carrier oil (such as Almond, Grapeseed, or Olive Oil) for one bath.
Add 10 to 15 drops of this oil per tablespoon of cream, lotion, or facial mask. Do not take this essential oil internally without consulting with a qualified aromatherapy practitioner. Dilute this and other essential oils properly before use due to the fact that this oil can cause sensitization in some individuals.
Avoid using this oil if you are pregnant, have a history of high blood pressure, kidney or liver problems, or if you are an alcoholic, hemophiliac, or taking anticoagulants.
