Cedarwood Red Essential Oil - 1/3 oz , (Frontier)
Known as the Tree of Life, Virginia Red, Eastern Red, Southern Red Cedar, and Bedford Cedarwood, the Red Cedarwood is used by the American Indians for shelter, clothing, and medicine.
This fresh, sharp woody balsamic smelling oil whose scent reminds you of pencils, it is often used in cosmetics, perfumes, room deodorants, car fresheners, soap and candle fragrances.
Red Cedarwood Essential Oil is used as an insect repellant, an inhalent to help clear the reapiratory system of its many complaints (including phelgm and catarrh, a nasal or sinus membrane inflammation), many people use it for oil skin and oily scalp problem, clear up a case of dandruff, sorts out urinary tract infections, relieve itching as well as treating severe skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
This essential oil is also used for acne, bronchitis, cellulite reduction, bladder and kidney disorders as well as anxiety and nervous tension.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Put a couple of drops of Red Cedarwood Essential Oil in a burner or a diffuser for vapor therapy or in the bath. Try blending 3 drops of Red Cedarwood Essential Oil and 2 drops of Rosemary oil with a teaspoon of Olive oil to gently massage into your hair before shampooing. You can also blend some drops in a massage oil or dilute this oil in a cream. Although this oil is nontoxic and irritant, you should avoid taking it while you are pregnant or nursing so always consult with a health practitioner before using this or any other essential oils.

Essentially for aromatherapy use, you have to carefully dilute the essential oil with a carrier oil like jojoba, grapeseed, olive, or almond oil for other uses. Please consult an essential oil book or other professional reference sources for suggested dilution ratios.
Natural essential oils are highly concentrated and should be used with care. Therefore, it should be stressed that you should always dilute the essential oils before any other use besides aromatherapy. Keep the essential oils out of the reach of children, are not used internally or topically, and avoid contact of any essential oils with your eyes.
