Cajeput goes by such names as White Wood, Weeping Tea Tree, Weeping Paperback, and sometimes White Tea Tree. It originates from the coastal plains of Malaysia and is highly revered by the East for its use for colds, headaches, throat infections, toothaches, sore muscles, aching muscles, cholera, rheumatism, and various skin diseases. Bearing a sweet, musty,and penetrating aroma, Cajeput oil is used in dentistry and pharmaceutical work as an antispetic. It is also used as a fragrance and freshening agents in cosmetics, detergents, perfumes, and soaps.
Cajeput Essential Oil promotes sweating in order to cool down the body. This oil helps to balance the mind as well as to aid in stimulating the mind. Cajeput Essential Oil helps to fight such infections as colds, laryngitis, and bronchitis while also being helpful for those who suffer from asthma, sinusitis, and sore throats. It has been used with great success for treating digestive problems (it even calms the digestive system) and skin problems (including such skin conditions as acne and psoriasis). Cajeput Essential Oil soothes headaches, gout, toothaches, earaches, colic, enteritis (a stomach ailment), dysentery, and vomiting. In addition, it has also been used to ward off insects and take care of those insect bites as well.
SUGGESTED USAGE
Put a couple of drops of Cajeput Essential Oil in the diffusers or vaporizers for the respiratory tract, relieving any infections and pain. Dilute it in a blended massage oil to rub into those aching muscles. Add a couple of drops in your bath to help reduce fevers or even mix a drop or two of this essential oil in your blended cream to gently rub over those pesky chronic conditions like acne and psoriasis.
Even though it is non-toxic and non-senxitizing, Cajeput Essential Oil could irritate the skin when you use it in high concentration and can easily irritate the mucus membranes. Keep this and other essential oils out of the reach of children.
